JCsUMTRON is still a long way from being a real game – but quite a bit has happened: the textures on the light cycle model are now considerably prettier, with transparency and nice "specular effects", which also makes the light come across better. I have converted all the scripts from JavaScript to C# (and I now develop the scripts in a VMWare Fusion Windows XP installation with Visual Studio.NET 2005... which is a good deal more fun).

The walls now disappear automatically after a certain time, and – most important: you can no longer simply drive through walls; instead there is a small explosion and the demo is over (if you want to try again, for the moment you still have to reload the page).

So it is moving forward, even if there is still plenty to do (I will definitely change the explosion sound, add a computer opponent, and then make a "real game" out of it, with a start screen, a short tutorial and several levels – and finally, of course, the multiplayer functionality that gives the game its name)...
