Healing, purification and realisation
Alongside the meditations, which are to be understood as direct tools of awakening, there is also a range of further techniques whose primary intent is not Self-realisation – but which nonetheless help us, through healing, purification and support in putting things into practice, to lead a spiritual life in these turbulent times. Examples would be the Sambodha Virya Pavana (a technique for cultivating a protective steadiness), the Ana Prasadhana Kriya (a purification technique) or the Bhas Madhupeya Prayog (healing). The Pranaprabhas should be mentioned here too, which through conscious work with the marma points ultimately serves to cleanse our meridian system. Finally, supporting qualities can also be called into our consciousness through chanting dharanis or mantrams together.
