Surasamiksha

The art of mindfulness directed toward the illuminating power

The Sanskrit word for mindfulness is Samiksha. In the Solar Tradition, however, we do not simply practise mindfulness in the sense of letting go of every identification, which would ultimately lead into a kind of "nothingness". Instead, while practising mindfulness we remain aware at all times of the illuminating power of consciousness. We are neither only our creation, nor are we only the creator. We are not what we observe – and yet we are also very much that. This particular form of Solar mindfulness is what the "Sura" in Surasamiksha describes. As such, Surasamiksha is not only the foundation of every meditation, empowerment and healing technique; in everyday life it is also the prerequisite for putting the Arts of Being into practice, and the Art of Compassion above all. Surasamiksha – the art of mindfulness directed toward the illuminating power – is therefore the thread that guides us both in the meditations and in the teaching and practical application of the "core knowledge".
